Welcome to the web site of The Digital Education Group at Strathclyde. DEGAS was set up in 1999 by members of staff within the Faculty of Education to embrace the newly emerging creative digital technologies and to integrate these technologies into the Scottish education system at all levels. Explicit aims were, and still are, to:-

	disseminate good practice in art, media and technology education
	develop high quality research and teaching materials embracing art, media and technology
	promote creative art and media technology at all levels in education
	develop and promote links within and external to the university
	develop research activity in the fields of Art & Design, Media and Technology
