A research team combining expertise across four Scottish Universities was awarded a grant of £196,709 over three years by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) as part of their 'Future of Work' programme. This was the only successful bid in Scotland, and was one of just 19 successful bids across the UK out of well over 200 original applications. The project was funded from January 1999 to December 2001. Work continues on publishing the findings of the research some of which are available for downloading from this webpage.
