The city centre John Anderson Campus is a student village right in the heart of Glasgow. Most students live in flats of various sizes within the Village. Everyone has their own single bedroom and shares a bathroom, kitchen and living areas with their flatmates.
How will I keep in touch?
Each room has a telephone offering free calls within the residences. You will also have network access to the University's central computing facilities, including teaching and learning resources, plus internet and email.
Who will I live with?
You'll be matched with people who have asked for the same kind of accommodation as you. All first year flats are single sex - second years can choose to live in mixed flats. 95% of the people who live on campus are undergraduates - however there is one small hall for postgraduates
What will I eat?
All the flats in our campus village are self-catering, with well-equipped shared kitchens giving you the opportunity to develop your culinary skills.
How secure is life on campus?
There's an on-site management team in the Village Office, plus a Night Porter and a watched CCTV system beamed back to University Security Control for added peace of mind.
Are there campus social events?
During the year, there are opportunities to join in with many social events, ranging from traditional Scottish celebrations like Burn's Night to international events.
What about sport and recreation?
Facilities at the Centre for Sport and Recreation on the John Anderson Campus include a large twin-court sports hall for all major indoor games, including space for up to six badminton courts. There's also an activities room, six squash courts and a weight training area. The cardiovascular suite has over 50 exercise machines and there is a four lane swimming pool in the Royal College Building. The campus has its own recreational sports programme with a wide range of fitness classes, health and lifestyle consultations, sports coaching and much more.
