The expertise and experience of the Strathclyde alumni community plays a vital role in supporting the work of the University. The Strathclyde People Award recognises the dedication, support and contributions of individual alumni.
In his capacity as Chairman of our London alumni group (SUDS), Richard dedicated 15 years to running the SUDS group. Bringing together alumni based in London and the surrounding areas, Richard has organised numerous successful alumni events – including the annual Burns Supper. An advocate of giving back to the place that gave him his start, Richard has played an instrumental role in raising enough funds to cover the costs of several student scholarships, not to mention making personal gifts to the Alumni Fund.
