Library

The Department of Architecture Library is open daily (during term time), Monday to Friday, from 10.00am until 4.45pm.

The Library holds more than 5000 volumes on the history of architecture, architectural theory, contemporary architectural design, building types, urban design and technology. The Library’s collection has been developed in direct response to the teaching delivered in the Department since 1967. The collection strengths are in urban design and contemporary architectural design.

The Library receives 20 current periodicals and holds a substantial number of archived publications. Current Journal Holdings

The resources in the Department of Architecture Library are offered in addition to those provided by the University Library. Equipment available to the students includes computers, CCTV viewer, scanner, photocopier and light box.

Lending

Some items are available for loan.  Loan items may be borrowed after 4.30pm, and must be returned before 11am the following morning.

Archive

The Department Library archive consists of architectural journals, papers and drawings documenting the educational history of the Department.
