About the Faculty
Welcome to the Faculty of Law, Arts and Social Sciences - we aim to create an environment for study and research which stays relevant in today's world.
The Faculty brings together a number of departments with strength in teaching and research in Law, Humanities and Social Sciences. Staff in the Faculty's seven departments encourage critical and imaginative thinking on intellectual, social, political, historical, literary and cultural issues with a broad humanistic perspective. Teaching is underpinned by research and is delivered by staff noted for teaching excellence.
The objectives of the Faculty are the advancement of knowledge, the diffusion and extension of arts and learning and the provision of liberal and professional education.

Faculty Courses
The range of academic qualifications offered by the Faculty cover BA/BA Honours, and LLB/LLB Honours at undergraduate level, LLM, MLitt, MSc PgD and PgC at postgraduate level, and Research degrees, MRes, MPhil and PhD .The Faculty also offers Continuing Personal Education and Continuing Professional Development courses as well as an Access to Higher Education course.
