Collect Registration Material
Collect your Registration pack from the Registry counter in the McCance building. To find the location of the McCance building, go to http://www.strath.ac.uk/maps/ click on the building in the drop-down menu, then click on Go.
Check the Registration Pack
You will be pre-registered for the classes/modules you outlined in your original Exchange Application/Learning Agreement. A printout showing the classes on your record should be included in the registration pack. Pre-registration gives you immediate access to Pegasus which is a portal giving access to the University’s systems, including information on curricula, timetables and your own personal information. Does the pack contain your university IT username, password and email address? If the information is not in your Registration pack, it can be obtained from Information Technology Services, located on level four above the Library (Curran Building). You can then proceed to the Assembly Hall in the James Weir Building to obtain your student card.
Changing an Agreed Curriculum
You have two weeks at the beginning of each semester to make changes in your curriculum. Have you identified another class which you would prefer to attend? If so, you should arrange to see the relevant Socrates or JYA Adviser to sort out your curriculum as soon as possible.
Orientation
The International and Graduate Office holds an induction session for new exchange or JYA students before the start of the first semester and in the first week of the second semester. Information about the date and location of the Orientation session should be enclosed in the Registration pack. You will also find it useful to visit the University Library to sign up for a Library induction session.
Check the lecture times and locations
Go to the relevant Departmental Office and find out when and where the lectures take place. You can also find out about signing up for tutorials.
