Purpose and overview of the MiM at SSBS
The Masters in Management at SSBS aims to give a broad understanding of management issues along with appropriate skills and techniques that may be expected to resolve them, as reflected in the following programme learning goals:
- to develop advanced knowledge and understanding of the ambiguity and complexity of organisations, management and the environment in which they exist.
- to augment the personal, interpersonal and intra-group knowledge and skills of students in order to develop their confidence and ability to operate effectively within the organisations of today and the future.
- to develop skills in management – both in terms of the extant theories and concepts but also processes and practices in an effective manager
- to develop individuals as reflective practitioners capable of ongoing selfdevelopment by understanding and utilising the interrelationships between theory and practice.
