Joe Amberg

Joe Amberg is a DBA student in the Department of Management, whose research focuses on innovation and entrepreneurship. More specifically, he is interested in how an entrepreneurial culture of an acquired firm may be maintained and fostered, particularly where the two firms share very different organisational and national cultures. Joe Amberg is working currently for Siemens SBT (Headquarters Switzerland) as an integration manager for a new acquisition in South Korea. He is interested in any best practice sharing in the field of company integration as well as applied value systems from a multinational perspective.

Mathew Analogbei is a PhD student in the Department of Marketing, and is studying the international expansion of retail firms in Africa.

Oliver Borchert is a PhD student in the Department of Marketing, whose research focuses on the resource-based view (RBV) of the firm in relation to the international market entry mode selection of SMEs.

Thomas Falk

Thomas Falk is a DBA student with the Department of Management whose research centres on the organistional design of MNEs. More specifically, Thomas is interested in how multidimensional matrix structures may be effectively implemented in technology-driven MNEs hoping to become closer to the market through the bundling of products and knowledge across vertical business units.

Andreas Hoefele

Andreas Hoefele is a PhD student in the Department of Economics investigating issues of international outsourcing and product differentiation. Andreas has held an internship at the World Trade Organisation, providing research assistance for the outsourcing chapter for the forthcoming World Trade Report, 2008.

Euan MacMillan

Euan MacMillan is a PhD student in the Department of Economics. His PhD research focuses on regional trade agreements and the multilateral trading system. Euan has recently held an internship at the World Trade Organisation where he contributed to the World Trade Report, 2007. He has also visited the University of Sydney to progress his research.

Christian Solano

Christian Solano is a DBA student with the Department of Marketing. His research focuses on issues in international marketing, with a particular interest in the identifying optimal international entry strategies in terms of timing (when to enter a particular market) and sequencing (which country to enter first, second, etc.) for healthcare or pharmaceutical products.
