Companies are encouraged to engage with the University by offering student placements or providing a topic for a student project.
Some opportunities for student placements may be explored through the following channels:
• Industrial CASE Studentships. Industrial CASE (co-operative awards in science and engineering) studentships are three and a half year postgraduate awards allocated to companies.
• Companies can develop successful partnerships with the University and students by advertising their placement, internships or part-time vacancies via the Student Employment Service or by arranging a 'Meet Strathclyde Seminar' where you can meet careers advisers and academic staff. Find out more about this service.
• Marketing Works - an opportunity for companies to commission a marketing research project of high quality to be undertaken by students on the internationally renowned Masters in International Marketing or Masters in Marketing programmes.
• Opportunities in the Department of Design, Manufacture and Engineering Management. The Department of Design, Manufacture and Engineering Management (DMEM) at the University of Strathclyde has three main routes for establishing meaningful collaborations with industrial partners and external organisations. These are the Summer Placement Student Opportunities, the Product Development Partnership and the Individual Research Projects.
