Applying for a place to live on campus is simple - you can do it online here, or fill in the form that comes with your offer of a place at the university.
Who gets a place?
All first year undergraduate students who apply are offered a place in one of our residences, and there are also some spaces for second and third years. All new students who have satisfied every condition of entry to the university by 1 September and who will be attending for the whole academic year will be offered a place.
Can I choose where I want to live?
We have two campuses - the John Anderson Campus Village and the Jordanhill Campus. Where possible, we offer you your first choice, taking into account the things that are important to you - whether that's being in the city centre, or having the sports facilities close by.
Specific needs?
Some accommodation in the John Anderson Campus Village has been specially adapted for wheelchair users and those with impaired hearing. There are also some flats for students with families. If you need special accommodation, please let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to help.
Who will I live with?
You'll be matched with people who have asked for the same kind of accommodation as you. Strathclyde welcomes a diverse range of students from all over the world, so you will have an excellent chance to get to know people from different cultures and backgrounds. All first year flats are single sex - second years can choose to live in mixed flats. 95% of the people who live on campus are undergraduates.
