We work hard to provide a safe and secure environment for our students, and have over 90 trained and dedicated security service staff on hand to provide help and support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

24-hour security services

There are security patrols circulating on both campuses at all times, and for added peace of mind there is a monitored CCTV system beamed back to University Security Control. The Security Control Booth for the John Anderson Campus is in the Livingstone Tower; at Jordanhill it is in the David Stow Building.

In an emergency

The 24-hour security team on each campus are all fully trained first-aiders and should be your first call at any time of the day or night. The emergency number is ext. 3333 - 8888 if you are calling from a campus residence - (0141 548 3333 if you are off campus).

Be responsible

There are some simple things you can do to protect yourself and your property - such as avoiding walking in poorly-lit areas at night, carrying a personal alarm and reporting suspicious activities to the security service. Find out more at www.saferstudent.org.uk.
