If you play an instrument, sing or act or dance, our performing arts groups would love to hear from you. There's a whole range of groups to choose from, and getting involved is the perfect way to work on your talents, get a chance to perform and make friends at the same time.
The Music Society
Take your pick from three choirs; a symphony orchestra for strings, brass and woodwind; a concert band; a pipe band and a big band. Loads of other pop, rock and traditional bands start out at the Music Society or the Applied Music programme. If you would like to get involved, get in touch as soon as possible. If you have your instrument with you, that's great - if you don't we may be able to lend you one.
The Drama Centre
The Ramshorn Theatre - the University's Drama Centre - presents an exciting programme
of theatre and music and also offers training in theatre and film arts, all in one of the Merchant City's most beautiful landmark buildings.
The Collins Gallery
A cultural interface between the University and the city, the award-winning Collins Gallery offers an annual programme of ten wide-ranging exhibitions by established and new artists. Many exhibitions are complemented by exciting workshops and events for all ages.
