JISC-CETIS Service
CETIS provides a national research and development service to UK Higher and Post-16 Education sectors, funded by JISC (the Joint Information Systems Committee). This includes providing strategic advice to JISC, supporting its development programmes, representing it on international standardisation initiatives, and working with the wider educational community to facilitate the use of standards-based eLearning, especially through Special Interest Groups. We also provide direct support for the JISC eLearning Programme, especially the eFramework and Design for Learning strands.
The service is managed by CETIS at The University of Bolton and partnered by the University of Strathclyde, Heriot-Watt University and The Centre for Recording Achievement.
The JISC CETIS Assistant Director at Strathclyde is Lorna Campbell
The service currently has two special interest groups based in the CAPLE:
* Educational Content (EC) SIG For more details contact Sheila MacNeill
CETIS also provides support to a number of JISC funded programmes, projects and initiatives, including the current digital repositories programme.
