High quality learning experience
Our role at the Centre for Academic Practice and Learning Enhancement is to help the University provide a high quality learning experience for all Strathclyde students. To achieve this we work in collaborative and consultative ways with colleagues from all Faculties of the University, and with representatives from our Students' Association. Together we try to identify ways in which we might enhance learning and teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
All our activities support the University's strategic objectives for learning, teaching and assessment. We are engaged in substantial university-wide development projects related to improving the First Year Experience of students and their transition to higher education. We are supporting innovative approaches to assessment in all Faculties through our Re-Engineering Assessment Project and we play a key role in the implementation of e-learning initiatives across the University.
We run a range of professional development programmes and offer consultation to Faculties and Departments on educational or policy-related initiatives. Our team can provide one-to-one confidential consultation on many aspects of teaching, learning or assessment. In all our activities we are grateful for the support, advice and expertise of Strathclyders who help us plan, organise and deliver our programmes.
