Christine Rooney-Browne has been awarded the first ever CILIP Library and Information Research Group (LIRG) SCAN award.
As the recipient of this award, Christine will be conducting a comprehensive review of
quantitative and qualitative methodologies and best practice for
investigating and commun- icating the value of public libraries in the UK.
Christine will produce an academic paper addressing this urgent issue;
and present her findings at the LIRG AGM/Conference later this year.
The LIRG Research Scan Award is intended to encourage dissemination and take-up of research and innovation in library and information science. The value of the Research Scan Award is £500. It is a new Award from LIRG, first offered in 2010".
