John Beaton

Current responsibilities

John works across all areas of the University, but has particular responsibility for the Faculty of Engineering and Strathclyde Business School.

In his role as Communications Officer, John provides information and comment to journalists on all aspects of the University's work and activities, promoting research and achievements.

Previously

John joined the University in 2011, having spent several years as a Communications Officer with Strathclyde Police. Prior to that he worked with local government after starting out as a reporter in the newspaper industry.
