Introduction
The Centre for Skills Enhancement, a self-funded Unit within Human Resources, delivers a variety of accredited training programmes both internally and external to the University. Accredited programmes include the Institute of Leadership and Management, Modern Apprenticeships and New Deal.
The Centre is approved to deliver courses accredited by :
- City and Guilds
- Institute of Leadership Management (ILM)
- Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA)
The Centre currently offers courses in the following areas :
- Management
- Introductory Certificate in Team Leading (SVQ Level 2)
- Introductory Certificate in First Line Management (SVQ level3)
- Scottish Vocational Qualifications
- Administration
- Customer Service
- Information Technology
- Management
The Centre operates the Scottish Quality Management System (SQMS) which is the quality standard, across Training and Education sectors in Scotland.
