Head Scarf
The Qur'an teaches that both men and women should dress modestly. Although it does not give detailed instructions in relation to dress, Muslims will often cover their head, legs and arms. The way in which the teaching is interpreted varies from country to country especially in relation to women. In some countries women are required to cover their face when in public. This is not a religious requirement, but reflects how a particular culture or society has tried to interpret the teaching of the Qur'an.
