Biographical Information
David Forsyth is a graduate of the University of Aberdeen. He held various university lecturing and research posts in Scotland, Canada and Ghana before becoming Head of the Economics Department, first at Strathclyde and subsequently at the University of the South Pacific. Prior to returning to Strathclyde he was employed by the Commonwealth Secretariat as Multilateral Trade Policy Adviser, with special responsibility for assisting Pacific Island governments in their trade negotiations with the WTO and the European Union. His main interests are development economics and issues related to trade and globalisation.
