An exhibition of Strathclyde's Impact

In the current climate, more so than ever it is important that research has a lasting impact.

  • What difference does your research make?
  • How do you ensure that the impact of your research reaches the widest audience possible?

Images can often be more engaging and effective in conveying information than words. Images of Research is a new annual competition for Research Staff and Research Students that is sponsored by the Knowledge Transfer Account  and the Researcher Development Programme (RDP). It seeks to engage with the public by showcasing research via an eye-catching image. The images will initially form an exhibition as part of Engage with Strathclyde, before being displayed at other venues across Glasgow, and showcased via an online gallery.

The theme of the competition this year is Impact. The competition will allow you to publicise the impact of your research to a wider audience, via an image, supported by a short abstract. The competition is now open and images can be submitted in one of the four categories below:

• Health and Wellbeing
• Economy
• Culture and Community
• Environment and Nature

The winning entries will be decided by the expert judging panel.

Please register your interest on the online booking system.

The closing date for all entries is 30th March 2012.
