I am a PhD student in the fourth year, funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran. I am working on the development of Stanley E. Fish's reader-response theory. I am looking into the sources of and influences on Fish's theory. My aim is to write a critique of Fish's theory and my focus is on the concept of "interpretive communities" as a theory of interpretation.
My supervisor is Senior Lecturer Dr Thomas Furniss, whom I recommend to any student looking for an erudite, caring and hard-working supervisor.
