Introduction
Postgraduates in our department find researchers with international reputations, a high score in the most recent RAE and approachable staff who really value your input and ideas.
We are in the heart of Glasgow, a vibrant city with excellent transport links. The underground is a five minute walk away. The University library, the famous Mitchell Library and the Glasgow University library are within easy reach. A fifty minute train journey takes you to the National Library of Scotland in Edinburgh, and a one hour flight to London and the British Library.

Masters degrees can be a first step to a PhD or help with career and personal development. We welcome overseas students, including visiting students. We also offer a graduate diploma in English studies.
