Introduction
The Space Management and Planning team have wide ranging responsibilities across the University:
- Actively managing University accommodation allocated to departments
- Keeping accurate records of the room numbers, areas, functions and occupancy of space allocated to departments and managing requests to change any of this information
- Co-ordinating proposals by departments to physically change or add to their accommodations
- Preparing design briefs for projects
- Co-ordinating information on design and costs
- Processing departmental requests for changes, making capital assistance for projects where this is appropriate and reporting on space management issues from within the University and across the sector
- Providing the University with relevant information to benchmark against other HEIs
- Improving the quality of the estate
- Post Occupancy Evaluations of completed projects
- Assisting the Director of Estates Services in the Strategic Planning of the campus and current issues
