Centre for Mathematics Applied to the Life Sciences Symposium

5 June 2013, 12:00 - 5 June 2013, 18:00

Cardiovascular Disease and Treatment: Mathematical Modelling and Clinical Insights

The symposium will include talks from leading cardiologists, who will share some of the current challenges in the treatment of heart disease and highlight some of the technologies currently being used clinically. We will also hear from expert academics who will discuss the role that mathematics can play in furthering our understanding of disease progression and in the development of enhanced treatments, from optimisation of novel drug delivery devices through to the development of enhanced biomaterials. The meeting will be followed by a wine reception, providing delegates the opportunity to meet with representatives from industry, academia and the NHS.

The programme is available to dowload via Cardiovascular Disease & Treatment: Mathematical Modelling and Clinical Insights. Registration is on a first-come first-served basis. Please email Dr Sean McGinty to secure your place.
