The Centre can provide advice and training on oral history theory and methodology, whether you need some help with planning a project or require training in oral history techniques and analysis.
We provide oral history training seminars to anyone interested in conducting oral history interviews. We have two scheduled introductory seminars each year, in January and in June, and can also provide tailored training seminars for specific groups and projects. From 2012-13 we are hoping to introduce new training seminars on digital technologies in oral history.
Details of our next seminar will be published soon.
Our seminars blend taught sessions with active participation in group exercises, including a chance to try out your interviewing skills, and are conducted on an informal basis, with plenty of time allowed for questions, reflection and discussion. - The fee for this full day seminar is £90.
Our next Introduction to Oral History Training Seminar will take place on 6 June 2012.
If you have any questions about our training seminars, please do not hesitate to contact us.
