Sociology at Strathclyde aspires to be innovative, exciting and relevant. The course has a strong orientation towards understanding real world problems and what can be done about them. Staff and our postgraduate community have a wide variety of interests, are active in engaged research and regularly write and comment on matters of public interest and controversy in the news media and the blogosphere.
