Funding for EU & EEA students

main content

Introduction

Awards are not automatically available to cover tuition fees and/or maintenance costs. EU Nationals are eligible to apply for the same awards as UK students but for tuition fees only. Such awards are very limited. Students should consult with the appropriate Course Director or Head of Department to find out if funding is available for a particular course/area of research study. Unless EU students are in receipt of a scholarship, there is no provision to allow students to receive maintenance support, except when at least three years in residency for non-educational purposes prior to the start of study. Most students will be expected to provide their own funds to cover living expenses.

For further information, students should consult with the appropriate award making body or the University's International Student Adviser, Mr Jim Wilson.
