Start Planning

Now that you have decided to come to the University of Strathclyde you will want to start planning for your time in Glasgow.  Use the links on the left to access useful information that will help you prepare for your time at Strathclyde.

It is important to be organised before you leave home so make your arrangements in plenty of time to avoid any last-minute panic.

Visa Letter /Confirmation of Acceptance of Study (CAS)
When you have accepted the University’s offer of study and paid the University’s standard deposit of £2,000 (only applies to self funded students who require a visa to come to the UK ) our Registry will send you a Visa Letter which states the following:

1. What your course of study is
2. Start date of your course
3. End date of your course
4. How much your tuition fees are
5. How much you have paid in advance
6. Which of your qualifications we accepted when making our Offer of Study

You will need this Visa Letter and the original copies of the qualifications mentioned in the Visa Letter when applying for your student visa.

Coming to study with us in September 2009?  You can download our programme for the first couple of weeks at Strathclyde as well as essential pre-departure information.
