Entry requirements

What is required?

The University of Strathclyde admits students from many different countries with many different qualifications. For advice on whether your qualification is acceptable to universities in the UK, please contact your local British Council Office.

If you are interested in undergraduate study your school leaving certificate may be acceptable for undergraduate entry. However, if your school qualifications are not accepted by UK universities as an entry qualification, you might wish to consider a foundation programme such as the International Foundation Programme Scotland - IFPS.

If you have studied for a diploma in your home country after completing High School, it may be possible to gain advanced entry into an undergraduate degree.

All applications for undergraduate study are handled via UCAS

If you are interested in postgraduate study you will need to have a good first degree from your home university (GPA of 3+) and an appropriate level of English language. Applications for postgraduate study are made directly to the University.

If you require an application form for postgraduate study contact the IGO.

alternatively, you can download the postgraduate application form.
