Biography

Staff Photo of Iain MitchellIain joined IRL in August 2006. Prior to this he had twelve years experience in education (including working for the University’s English Language Teaching Division) and youth development.

Iain is in charge of developing and running a variety of IRL’s educational intervention projects, including programmes for Looked After Children, Children At Risk and Modern Apprentices. He also designs and delivers CPD programmes for teachers and other education professionals on the ‘Challenge in Learning’ ethos on which IRL’s programmes are based. Iain is also in charge of the S3 HE Campus Day element of the Focus West programme.

Iain’s current research interests are the implementation and evaluation of educational intervention programmes.
