This page contains documentation on how to setup mobile devices to access University email, WIFI and VPN.

 

Email setup

iPhone Exchange Email   This setup will sychronise with exchange server for email, contacts and calendar

Android Exchange Email  This setup will synchronise your Android device with exchange server for email, contacts and calendar

IMAP Email Settings These instructions show you how to configure your device for email only (Blackberry devices only have IMAP option available)

 

Office365 Users

Information on how to configure email on your mobile device is available in the Mobile Phone Setup Wizard section of the Office365 mail account. 

Log into your Office365 account.  From the inbox navigate to the set up wizard by clicking Options > See all Options > Phone > Configure the Phone to Synchronise with Microsoft Exchange > Mobile Phone Setup Wizard.  From here you can select your device/ what you would like configured and you will be presented with instructions on how to set up email/ exchange email on your phone.

Wireless Access

iPhone eduroam   This setup will allow wireless access from your iPhone

Android eduroam  This setup will allow wireless access from your Android device

Windows phone eduroam  This setup will allow wireless access from your Windows phone

Blackberry eduroam  This setup will allow wireless access from your Blackberry device

Some areas of Royal College and Livingstone Tower cannot connect to eduroam at this time.   In this case, you can try to connect your device to the Strathclyde network. 

iPhone Strathclyde  This setup allows access to Strathclyde Wireless network from your iPhone

Android Strathclyde  This setup allows access to Strathclyde Wireless network from your Android device

  

VPN

VPN Setup for Mobile Devices This setup gives you the ability to create a secure network connection.
