"The curriculum contained the right blend of business and IT classes and the lecturers and tutors delivered the course drawing on both academic and 'real world' experience. Following nine months of classes covering topics from systems development to managerial accounting, I was fortunate enough to work with five other students on a three month business process improvement project with the Scottish Football Association. This formed the basis of my dissertation.
On graduating from BITS I joined HBOS where I spent two and a half years on their Rapid Graduate scheme where I quickly progressed to Project Leader by moving around the company, seeing various elements of the IT function and developing my behavioural and technical competencies. I am now working for Deloitte Consulting in Chief Information Officer Services and (nearly three years on) I'm still using the skills and knowledge I acquired on the BITS programme.
