Education: MSc in International Management (Strathclyde, UK), Completed MBA teaching course (Korea University, Korea), BA in Turkish & English (Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Korea)

Rebecca is currently researching into the relationship between CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and IHRM (International Human Resource Management) and how the dynamics of this relationship may vary across international settings under the supervision of Professor Sharon Bolton and Dr. Shenxue Li. She is also working as a tutor in FoM (Foundation of Management) undergraduate course.

She worked over 12 years in the fields of foreign diplomacy, government, NGO and business as a professional of international relations. Some of her roles includes; senior coordinator and team leader of international relationship activities and official interpreter for Israel Ambassador to Korea and Korean Minister of Home Affairs etc. Before commencing her career in academia, she was an accomplished CSR senior consultant and worked with major Korean conglomerates. During the final stage of her MBA study in Korea University Business School, she awarded British-Chevening scholarship to study in the UK, and so selected MIM (Master of International management) course in Strathclyde University for vigorously investigating CSR in the UK and the global village. This would prove to be a valuable foundation of her current PhD research.

Her research interests broadly cover management strategy related with CSR, IHRM, sustainability management and international management. She has been participating in Korean government projects related with sustainable development and environment and energy policy. In 2006, she was invited by University of Cologne, Germany after winning their prestigious international essay competition. Her essay raised critical questions on energy and resource management (E&RM) whether it is an economic challenge or opportunity.
