Italian Studies is one of the three language Divisions of the Department of Modern Languages, which is one of the largest Departments in the Faculty of Law, Arts & Social Sciences. Italian has been taught in this University since the granting of the University Charter in 1964, and a full range of degree classes in Italian has been continuously offered since 1967. Over the years close on 5,000 students have enrolled for classes in Italian, and our graduates are to be found literally throughout the world and in many diverse professions.
