The Department's yacht Catalina participated in the Sail Hebrides 2010 Festival Week which took place from 12th to 17th July at Stornoway Harbour - Isle of Lewis.
Catalina and her crew which comprised Mr Jim Smith, RYA Instructor plus 3 of his crew and Ruairdh MacLeod and Rebecca Barnard, students of the Department, were presented with the prestigious Vega Bermudian Challenge Trophy (a picture) on winning the race. During this time Rebecca and Ruairdh completed the RYA Practical Day Skipper Course.
