I chose to study in this department as I believed Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering to be a very interesting subject , that provides many opportunities for the future. My father is also a Naval Architect which was other factor that that lead me to select this course.

Through studying in this department I gained a global experience in what I was going to face in the near future in my work. It also helped me to decide which sector of Naval Architecture I wished to follow.

In my job I co-ordinate with the Technical Manager, superintending engineers and port captains for classification matters. I ensure that the vessels are certified and surveyed on time, relating to their class. I check that all documents and records related to the Technical department are timely sent and dealt with appropriately.

The degree that I took from this course opened many opportunities for me which otherwise I would have found impossible to follow.
