main content

Marine Engineering involves the design, construction, installation, operation and support of the systems and equipment which propel and control marine vehicles, and of the systems which make a vehicle or structure habitable for crew, passengers and cargo.

Substantial sponsorship and training is available for those who wish to go to sea as Engineer Cadets in the early stage of their careers.

Graduates are equipped to deal with engineering challenges on a wide range of marine vehicles, while also understanding the successful design, construction, repair and maintenance of such vehicles.

In addition to core Naval Architecture subjects, you will also study a range of specialised Marine Engineering subjects.
