The Professional Development Unit was established in 1996, replacing the former In-Service Division. PDU is the incubator, catalyst, orchestrator and hub for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) offered by the Faculty of Education in the University of Strathclyde.
PDU successfully manages and coordinates a wide range of activities for education professionals including the management and administration of short courses, conferences, seminars and award-bearing programmes.
Our aim is to provide a high quality service to the academic staff in the Faculty and to our clients in the professional fields which the Faculty serves. We endeavour to achieve this aim by:

- Establishing and maintaining partnerships with our professional colleagues in the UK and internationally.
