Research Programmes
Postgraduate research degrees available in the Department of Physics range from 1-year MPhil programmes to 3-4 year PhD programmes.
Researchers in the department are active in many national and international collaborations, undertaking research which ranges from fundamental aspects of physics to application-oriented programmes.
All research students in Physics at Strathclyde are members of the Scottish Universities Physics Alliance (SUPA) Graduate School, which supports postgraduate-level training across Scotland through video conferencing and a Virtual Learning Environment.
