The Department offers four undergraduate degrees:
- MPhys, an Integrated Masters degree
- BSc (Hons) Physics
- BSc (Hons) Physics with Teaching taught jointly with the School of Education
- BSc (Hons) Mathematics and Physics degree offered in conjunction with the Department of Mathematics and Statistics
The Department offers five taught Masters degrees, four in-house and one through the Institute of Photonics:
- High Power Radio Frequency Science and Engineering
- Nanoscience
- Optical Technologies
- Quantum Information and Coherence
- Photonics and Device Microfabrication (Institute of Photonics)
The Department also has a wide range of opportunities for Postgraduate research. Currently there are 90 research students undertaking PhDs in the three main research divisions.
