Centres for Doctoral Training
Our Centres for Doctoral Training offer supportive, four-year, doctoral training programmes which integrate world-class research teams with pioneering, external partnerships in an interdisciplinary environment.

The Andersonian Library houses more than 2,000 reader places, 450 computer places and extensive wi-fi zones for laptop use. It has around one million print volumes as well as access to over 126,000 electronic books, 150 databases and over 26,000 ejournals that can be used 24/7 from any suitably enabled computer.

Resources for research and knowledge exchange activities including funding, intellectual property and commercialisation (only for University staff, researchers and PG students).


A landmark builidng is currently being built for the Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC), with a planned opening date of 2014. TIC will bring together mutli-
disciplinary researchers and will embrace industry with a range of state-of-the-art facilities for industry-led research.
