"The University of Strathclyde has a research culture of excellence with relevance and impact. From our founding in 1796 as 'the place of useful learning' to today, Strathclyde's staff undertake world-leading research that will benefit society and address some of the century's most pressing problems.
Strathclyde also has a long tradition of engagement with the wider community. We term this engagement knowledge exchange to recognise the fact the university community generates new knowledge but also gains knowledge and understanding working from with partners in industry, government and the public sector.
These pages provide an overview of the responsibilities of, and support available from, my office."
- Deputy Principal Research and Knowledge Exchange Professor Allister Ferguson.
