Not Eligible for a Grant?
Students who are not eligible to receive a grant from public funds may find it useful to consult :
- The Grants Register (McMillan Press)
- The Directory of Grant Making Trusts (the Charities Aid Foundation)
- The Charities Digest (Education Grants Advisory Service)
These are normally available for inspection in larger public reference libraries.
SAAS also maintains a Register of Educational Endowments containing information on Scottish trusts, many of which are local in character and eligibility often depends on the applicant's residential qualifications. Enquiry forms (REE1) may be obtained from SAAS.
The University's Student Finance Office can provide help with applying for support from SAAS, Trust Funds etc.
