Part time funding

Grants are not normally available for part-time study and students are expected to pay their own fees which will vary from year to year. However, ILA Scotland can provide limited financial support through the ILA 500 to British citizens, nationals of an EU member state or those settled within the United Kingdom under section 33 (2A) of the Immigration Act 1971 and who are ordinarily resident in Scotland.  This funding is for people who have an income of £22,000 a year or less, or who are on benefits.  If eligible, the award will pay £500 towards the cost of the part-time undergraduate or postgraduate tuition fee.  To obtain an application form, please call 0808 100 1090 or apply at https://ws2.learndirectscotland.com/ILAonline/Default.aspx

In addition, SAAS supports a small number of part-time postgraduate courses through the Postgraduate Students Allowances Scheme (PSAS).  Further details on supported courses together with eligibility can be obtained at http://www.strath.ac.uk/rio/postgraduatescholarships/award_29430_en.html
