What qualifications do I need?

Undergraduate Study
We accept a range of EU qualifications for entry to Strathclyde courses which can be viewed at EU entry requirements.  The Recruitment and International Office deals with enquiries regarding undergraduate study and they can be contacted at:

Postgraduate Study
Students interested in postgraduate study should possess a degree-level or equivalent qualfication (see below) from a recognised university and should apply directly to Strathclyde via the website

Austria Magister or Diplom with 2.5 or better
Belgium Licence/Licenctiaat with 14 or better or "avec distinction" 
Bulgaria Bachelor Degree with 5.0 or better 
Croatia Diplom Visoko Obrazovanje or 4.0 or better 
Cyprus Bachelor Degree/ Ptychion with 7 or better 
Czech Republic Diplom with 1.5 or B+ 
Denmark  Bachelor Degree with 10 or better
Estonia Bakalaurusekraad/Diploma with 4 or B
Finland Kandidaatti 2/3 or 3/5
France  Licence or Maitrise with 12 or better or "assez bien" 
Germany  Diplom/Magister Artium/Staatsexamen/Staatsprufung with "gut" or "sehr gut" or 2.5 or better 
Greece  Ptychio or Diploma with 7.0 or better 
Hungary  Diploma with 4 or better 
Ireland 2:1 Bachelor Degree
Italy Diploma di Laurea with 100 or better
Latvia Bakalaurs with 7 or better
Lithuania Bakalaurs with 7 or better or 4 or better
Luxembourg Bachelors degree
Malta 2:1 Bachelors degree
Netherlands Doctoraal with 7 or better
Poland Magister/Magisterium Lekarz with 4.5 or better of "dobry plus"
Portugal Licenciado with 14 or better
Romania Diploma di Licenta with 7.5 or better
Spain Licenciado/Licenciatura/Titulo de Grado with 7.5/10 or 2/4
Sweden Filosofie Kandidatexamen with distinction or VG
Switzerland Lizentiat/Licence/Diplome/Diploma with 5/6 or 7/10 or 2.5/5 on a reverse scale

Scholarships

Postgraduate Student Allowance Scheme (PSAS)
SAAS - the Student Awards Agency for Scotland offers support in the form of loan of £3400 to students wishing to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma/MSc in specific areas agreed by SAAS. 

Candidates should have been ordinarily resident in Scotland 3 years prior to the start of the course and should not have previously undertaken PG study with assistance from UK public funds.
