SCILT is collaborating with SQA to help promote and support the implementation of this qualification, which has been available since academic session 2009-2010. For initial advice and guidance, and in particular if your question concerns assessment arrangements and/or quality assurance please contact the Baccalaureate Development Manager at SQA, Lorna Grant. There are also a range of support events organised by SQA.

What SCILT can do for you:
- Deliver presentations to staff, senior management or parents to outline the benefits of offering the award to pupils at your school.
- Offer assistance and advice to pupils currently enrolled on the Language Baccalaureate, particularly in the area of research skills.
- Provide Language Baccalaureate candidates and their teachers with an open online forum for discussion via our Bac-Chat wiki.
- Provide staff training to support the delivery of the Scottish Baccalaureate in Languages in future sessions.
