MEET THE MENTORS

The Meet the Mentors event is designed to facilitate connections between emerging and experienced Strathclyde entrepreneurs.

Pre-start companies and young SMEs have the opportunity to pitch their ideas and businesses to our Enterprise Partners through a series of brief one-to-one networking sessions.

Our Enterprise Partners - experienced alumni entrepreneurs and business people – will seek to identify areas where they may be able to provide support.

An informal networking opportunity over drinks and nibbles will follow.

NETWORKING

A number of informal networking opportunities are offered throughout the year including at Christmas and during the summer. These give clients the opportunity to network with like-minded entrepreneurs on an informal basis.

CELEBRATION OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP DAY

Run by students for students, the University-wide event, which takes place during Global Entrepreneurship Week, is designed to raise awareness of entrepreneurship as a viable career option and to help develop enterprise skills.

In addition to an inspiring keynote from a successful student entrepreneur, the 2009 event included the Think Outside the Box Challenge - an hour-long competition where entrants were asked to add as much value as possible to a box of everyday items.  The winners were announced at the University’s Enterprise Awards Dinner.
