Following this experience, Rebecca had the courage to run with her own idea and set up Pick Protection. Through her interaction from Pathway, Rebecca made connections with the Enterprise Team (a contributor to SEN activity) and Pick Protection was then selected as a Rising star Rebecca access to enterprise advisors who supported her in numerous competition applications and Pick Protection began to grow. Rebecca was introduced to the wider Strathclyde Entrepreneurial Network and from this, presented at a Strathclyde 100, gained a number of mentors through her pitch at a Meet the Mentors event and was then invited to pitch for investment to Gabriel Investments Angel Syndicate.
The Enterprise team Enterprise Advisor, Calum Forsyth, supported Rebecca with her application for the Santander competition. Located in the Enterprise Hub, Rebecca continues to work closely with enterprise team to help grow her business.
