The University's second Enterprise Awards Dinner was held on Tuesday 17th November. With BBC's Dominic Byrne hosting and Dragons' Den star Shaf Rasul giving the keynote speech, the Awards Ceremony proved to be a huge success. Awards were presented to a wide spectrum of early-stage and well-established entrepreneurs and businesses.

On the 13th May, we held our first Making Money for Your Business - Ask the Experts event. The structured networking event took the form of round table discussions covering e-commerce, sales & marketing, finance, product development, investment and energy saving. In small groups, entrepreneurs moved from table to table ensuring that they had the chance to grill all of the experts across all 6 areas.

In November 2008, Strathclyde Entrepreneurial Network joined forces with this year's SIE Intern to spread the word about the many entrepreneurial activities around the University.
The keynote speaker, Gordon Richardson, gave a compelling account of his business experience, from founding Beanscene to recently setting up his New York City-style deli and coffee house, Pico.
